Gary GreenA 1988 UVM graduate, who earned an MBA from New York University, Gary Green entered the building services field at the age of 26 by creating his first company, First Quality Maintenance.  First Quality has since grown from 15 to over 2,000 employees and is now one of four under the Alliance Building Services name, the others being Classic Security, Bright Star Couriers and Onyx Restoration Services.

Last year, Classic Security protected several buildings surrounding the Republican National Convention and was featured on multiple TV news broadcasts.  Alliance Building Services has recently won key contracts at some of the city’s major buildings and First Quality Maintenance’s business grew by 46 percent in just 12 months.  Yet Gary’s greatest satisfaction has always been seeing his employees grow.  As he puts it: “When I see my employees succeed, I feel good about my leadership and I know I have made a difference.”
