How to Use Your BSAD Account Calendar

There are two ways to access your BSAD Exchange account calendar:

  1. Through Outlook Web Access by going to http://bsadmail.uvm.edu
  2. By using MS Outlook (with it properly configured to the BSAD network)

For more detailed instructions, open this word document:  HowToUseBSADAccountCalendar.doc

Through OWA, do the following:

  • Open http://bsadmail.uvm.edu and enter your BSADNET Username & Password.  If you don’t know your BSADNET username and password, you might need to initialize by going 213A Kalkin to see Nicole Chittenden.
  • In the left hand column, choose ‘Calendar’
  • From the main Calendar view, click ‘New’
  • Choose a date & time to start and end the meeting (NOTE: Be sure to pick the right date)
  • Enter a subject.
  • To include somebody in this meeting, click on ‘Invite Attendees’
  • To find somebody in the Business School, click on ‘Required’
  • In the Display name field, enter your attendee’s Last Name and then click ‘Find’
  • Select the name from the results pane and click ‘Required’
  • Close the ‘Find Names’ interface when finished adding attendee’s
  • After entering a subject, location and any other content in the body of the Calendar Appointment, click ‘Send’ or ‘Save'

To Create an Appoint using Outlook it is very similar and even a little easier:

  • In the left hand column of your main Outlook window, choose ‘Calendar’
  • In the date finder window, navigate to the date you want to create an appointment on.
  • Now on the date you want to create the appointment Double click the time block you want the appointment to happen
  • In the ‘Appointment’ interface, enter a subject, location and any other info in the body of the appointment.
  • Be sure you have the Start Time & Date and End  Time & Date as you want them to be
  • If you wish to invite someone to this meeting, like your adviser, click ‘Invite Attendees’
  • Then you will see the ‘To’ button where you can search the directory for individuals to invite
  • Click ‘To’, type the last name of those you’d like to invite and click ‘Required’
  • Click OK and then click ‘Send’ to invite the attendees to your appointment.
