Configure Outlook

How to Configure Outlook to View Your BSAD E-Mail on Windows XP:

 

NOTE: This will not work for Outlook Express, this is only to configure the Outlook client which can be acquired through the School of Business Licensing and Campus agreement services.

 

  1. Go to Start MenuàControl PanelàMail (if you don’t see ‘Mail,’ open Outlook, click Cancel and then close Outlook)

  1. Click on E-Mail Accounts

 

  1. Choose ‘View or change existing e-mail accounts’ and click Next 

 

  1. Click ‘Change…’

 

  1. Enter your BSAD Username and Password  (again, be sure to add ‘@bsad.uvm.edu’ to your Username)

 

  1. In the Username Field, enter your BSAD Username and press ‘Check Name’ (this might not work from off-campus or might take a few minutes to resolve)

 

  1. Enter your BSAD Username and Password  (again, be sure to add ‘@bsad.uvm.edu’ to your Username)

 

  1. After it resolves the Exchange Server name and your User Name, click ‘Back’

  1. Under the ‘Deliver new e-mail to the following location:’, make sure the ‘Mailbox – Your User Name’ value is selected (NOT ‘Personal Folders’)

    

  1. Click Finish and then try opening Outlook.
