Technology and Learning

The School of Business Administration requires that students purchase a personal laptop.  The School supports students and their laptops throughout their career at the university.  This support integrates the software skills and tools students will need when they graduate with the knowledge they'll have to succeed.

Need help with your computer?  Go to 227 Kalkin, call 802 656-0800 or send e-mail to help@bsad.uvm.edu. The school also provides computer labs for all students enrolled in business classes.  These labs are located in 100, 102 and 327 Kalkin Hall.

Through the School of Business Administration's alliance with Microsoft, we offer the most recent up to date Microsoft software (including Windows Operating Systems, Office Enterprise 2007 [Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, OneNote, Groove, InfoPath], Visio, Visual Studio .NET and much more).

  • Wireless Networking
    In anticipating the next major trend of computing, the School of Business Administration is able to support all state of the art wireless devices including PDA's with 802.11B Wi-Fi cards, Tablet PC's and any device with a network interface card.
  • Microsoft Campus Agreement
    The University of Vermont participates in Microsoft's Campus Agreement as described at http://www.microsoft.com/Education/CampusAgreement.mspx. 
  • Alternative Operating Solutions
    The School of Business Administration evaluates alternative operating system and environments for desktop client machines.
