Admissions to the School of Business Administration

Undergraduate Admissions

If you believe the UVM School of Business Administration is the right place for you, we invite you to apply for admission to the University of Vermont.  The University has a centralized admissions process.  All students interested in majoring in Business Administration should complete an application and submit it directly to the University’s Admissions Office.

MBA Admissions

To enter the UVM MBA program, prospective students will apply through the Graduate School.

Readmission

If you were previously enrolled in the School of Business Administration or are an alumnus of the School and are seeking readmission, please send an email to studentservices@bsad.uvm.edu with the following information: Name, UVM ID#, Last Semester Attended, Anticipated Date of Return, and Contact Information. 
                        

Undergraduate Internal Transfers
If you are currently enrolled in another College or School at UVM and would like to transfer into the School of Business Administration, please complete the internal transfer application process:

1. Please complete the Internal Transfer Application and return to Student Services, 101 Kalkin Hall. 
2. Complete the Major/Minor/Concentration form on-line: http://registrar.uvm.edu/forms/stu_form_menu.html 

To be considered as an internal transfer to the School of Business Administration, a student must:

1.       Minimally complete one semester as a degree candidate at UVM.
2.       Successfully complete two semesters of Economics.*
3.       Successfully complete two semesters of Calculus.* 
4.       Earn a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better across all courses taken at UVM.

5.       Be in good academic standing, i.e. not currently "on trial". 

6.       Not have any incompletes, XC, or M grades pending.


*Please Note:  Students who achieve an excellent academic record may be considered for internal transfer after completing one semester of Calculus and one semester of Economics. Students may also enroll in Statistics 141 as a further pre-requisite.

Applications to the School of Business Administration are reviewed twice a year - January and July.  To further discuss the internal transfer process as well as curriculum questions, please contact Student Services at (802) 656-4015 or studentservices@bsad.uvm.edu to schedule an appointment to meet with an academic advisor.  Note: Student Services advisors are not available to meet with internal transfer students during certain times of the semester, including the add/drop period and peak registration times.
