Professor Youndt joined the faculty of the School of Business Administration in 2007, and he is already making a different in his first year of teaching at UVM. Erin McElaney and Megan Piro, seniors in the School of Business, remarked that, “this professor never fails to let a moment pass when he can make some kind of joke to make the material relevant to us. On the first day of class, he felt the need to explain that although, he is very cool, he’s not trying to be all ‘yo, surfs up,’ but that he actually has a missing finger. Aside from the humor, he always found a way to keep us up to date on current events like rising oil prices, or the latest stock market conditions.”
Professor Youndt received his undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College and his PhD from Penn State. For all he’s done for us inside and outside the class room, the class of 2008 is pleased to recognize the Teacher of the Year, Mark Youndt.
