Where did you live before moving to Burlington?
I was a professor in Flagstaff, Arizona.
What do you like best about Burlington?
I think the town has nice people and it’s a good size. By size I mean, there isn’t too much traffic, there are enough people in the town where its not too small, but not too big like a city either, and most of all, the students here are quite sharp. They are students of high quality.
Do you have a favorite restaurant?
They are all good, American Flat Bread is a good one with decent prices and the quality is good too.
What book did you read most recently?
I haven’t read a book in a long time, but what I do read are journals. Mainly Journals of Finance, Real Estate and Finance, and Finance and Economics. Also, I read the Wall Street Journal sometimes.
What’s your favorite movie of all time?
Alive- I’ve seen it more than ten times. It’s a movie from China that’s really sad and has a lot of drama too. It has a good meaning behind it.
Favorite musician?
The pianist Glenn Gould. His recordings from 50 years ago still have a huge impact and I love listening to it.
If you weren’t a professor of finance or working in the finance industry, what would you want to do?
I would be fishing!
Hobbies?
Fishing! In the summer I fish and in the winter I fry. But if its not either one I like to just sit by a riverbank and watch people fish, which is relaxing too.
