2008 Marketing Club Trip to New York

The Marketing Club, UVM’s student chapter of the American Marketing Association, visited the NASDAQ MarketSite on Friday, February 22, 2008 during their annual networking trip to NYC. They were hosted by UVM alumni, Jordan Saxe and Justin Blaber. At the MarketSite, the students participated in the opening bell ceremony and later, a conference session on marketing practices at NASDAQ. The club had a busy and informative trip to the city, also visiting CBS Outdoor Media, Fit Pregnancy, Latin Force, MediaEdge, Peppercom, and Polo/Ralph Lauren.

Marti Woodman Honored by Golden Key Students

Marti Woodman, Lecturer, School of Business Administration, was recognized as an honorary member in The University of Vermont's Golden Key International Honour Society Chapter at the November 30, 2007 ceremony. In addition, she was selected to be the keynote speaker for this event.
The honorary members are chosen by the students who are on the executive board of Golden Key. The students agreed that Marti has illustrated an outstanding commitment to higher education and continues to provide support to students, and would be an excellent choice as the keynote speaker.
As keynote speaker, Marti used stories and personal experiences to illustrate how to overcome adversity, which everyone has in their life.
Rob Rohr, IT Staff of the School of Business Administration, and student at the University of Vermont, was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society Chapter on November 30, 2007 as well. He is one of the top 15 percent of UVM's seniors who was recognized for his scholastic achievement and excellence among college and university students internationally.
Wall Street Seminar 2007

The Finance Honors Seminar, traveled to New York City this past may to present their final report. Dr. James Gatti, the course instructor, complimented the class on their hard work, initiative, and professionalism. “These students did a great job on a very difficult assignment.”
