Congratulations to MBA student Will King, the newly-appointed 2005 EPSCOR Fellow for Science-Technology Economic Development.  The fellowship has been provided by the Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies in conjunction with the UVM School of Business Administration and the UVM Science Department.

Tom Rainey, President of the Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies, Chris Allen, Professor of Chemistry and Director of Vermont EPSCOR, and Bill Averyt, Director of the MBA program, will be Will's mentors throughout this initial year of the fellowship.

Will will be working in the Center's new offices at Trinity college.  He will be primarily responsible for working with four different technology firms (that have no previous business knowledge) to help them establish solid business plans and to aid them in their development.  The fellowship provides him with a stipend for 20 hours of work per week from January through August.  He will also earn 3 credits toward his MBA degree as well as tuition reimbursement for the semester.
