The students are here to learn about the American culture and Vermont businesses. It’s an experience that will benefit not only the Fribourg students, but UVM’s as well.
“The new partnership between the UVM Business School and the Fribourg Business School in Switzerland is designed to enhance the international experience and perspectives of both the Swiss visitors and the Vermont-based graduate students,” said Michael Gurdon, Associate Dean of Graduate Programs at the University of Vermont.
The group will spend time with MBA students by participating in classes at night. They also plan to tour some well known Vermont businesses, such as Green Mountain Coffee Roasters and Burton Snowboards.
“ The nineteen MBA students from Switzerland are keen, during their two weeks in Burlington, to understand the American view of the world and of business through in-class projects with their UVM peers and through visits to local companies which also have international operations,” said Gurdon. “ This is the first of what are planned to be yearly events.”
