Professor Rocki-Lee DewittProfessor Rocki-Lee DeWitt is quoted in the October 21st edition of Seven Days.  The story is on Bio-Tek Solutions, a Winooski-based company that makes "multi-mode microplate readers" and "microplate pepetting systems."   Briar Alpert, a UVM MBA Alum, and his brother Adam, developed the business which some call one of the most successful in the state. 

The story is on Bio-Tek Solutions, a Winooski-based company that makes "multi-mode microplate readers" and "microplate pepetting systems."  The equipment, which is made in Vermont, is helping scientists find lifesaving cures to cancer, Alzheimer's disease and bird flu.

Briar Alpert, a UVM MBA Alum, and his brother Adam, are second generation leaders of the business which was started by their father.  Some call one of the most successful in the state. 

Professor DeWitt said the company is considered such a success because "they're not a one hit wonder."
