Joseph G. Tront
Prof. Tront is a professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech where he teaches courses in computer architecture, VLSI design and embedded systems. He does research in bio-microelectronic sensors, computing system design, and on the use of technology in engineering education.

Professor Tront is currently studying the use of tablet PCs in the teaching/learning environment and is developing software tools and teaching techniques to improve the effectiveness of the use of these devices.  Virginia Tech has just started requiring all their incoming engineering students to purchase a Tablet PC and he was instrumental in this implementation.
